The 23 other crew members where from all over New Zealand.

Kristin student Hayley Mulholland describes the experience in the 1993 yearbook: "Up at 6 a.m. every morning for a dip
in the "pleasant" 6 degree water, and cleaning the ship until 7.30 a.m. was just part of the fun; along with swimming, sailing, sunbathing and sleeping (a rare commodity). I made some incredible friends whom I will never forget. I learnt more about myself and others than I thought
