User Guidelines

The Kristin School archives are a digital repository which makes material from the physical archive at Kristin School accessible online. By using this site, you are agreeing in full to the Recollect Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Most material on the site can be used for private research or personal use, but not for commercial use or profit. Material on this platform may also be subject to copyright or other access restrictions. Please use the guidelines below and refer to copyright and access restrictions on individual items, or contact us at archives@kristin.school.nz with any questions.

Sharing, Copying and Publishing Material

Where there are no known copyright restrictions, material may be shared and copied provided that textual and visual content are not altered and that the Kristin School archives are acknowledged.

Where copyright restrictions do apply, material is subject to the provisions of New Zealand copyright legislation and may not be copied without the written permission of the legal holder of that copyright, except for personal use and study.

Users are responsible for obtaining the copyright holder’s permission for the publication or reproduction of all materials. The archive assumes no responsibility for any copyright infringements on behalf of users.

High Resolution Copies

Users may request high-resolution copies of archival material for personal use or research and may be required to provide a brief abstract about their project or publication before a request can be answered.

Acknowledgment and Citation

Archival material used in research or publication must be cited and give credit to the Kristin School Archives. When citing material, please also ensure that the item number, title, date and URL are included.

Current staff and students at Kristin School are advised to cite material using APA (7^th ed.) format. The Kristin School library provides and supports the Noodletools platform to assist current students with APA referencing and bibliography presentation. All Middle and Senior students have access to this tool from the library pages in Canvas.

Data Accuracy

We are continually working to improve the accuracy and quality of our data. If information is not clear or appears incorrect, please contact us at archives@kristin.school.nz.

Takedown Notice

When making our archival material available online, the Kristin School archives are acting in good faith, and to the best of our knowledge, have permission to make archival content available digitally.

If you believe that there is material included in our online archive that should not be used because incorrect permission has been given, or if you see an image of yourself and wish it to be removed from the site, please contact us at archives@kristin.school.nz. We will investigate and address your concern as quickly as possible.

Privacy Statement

Information provided when registering to become a user of the Kristin Recollect site is intended primarily to manage site interactions such as user recollections, tags, suggestions to edit, and takedown requests, but may also be used for the purposes of updating database records of Kristin School and/or Kristin Alumni.

By providing your personal data, you agree that Kristin will store your personal information for the purposes of communicating with you by means such as jubilee news, alumni news, alumni events and reunions, school development news, Kristin Kaleidoscope magazine and school enrolment news. Your information will not be disclosed to outside sources.
